This is an amazing book! It is packed with excellent advice and information on how to make videos for your brand or business. The author's personal stories on how he got into filmmaking, and the results of his work are interesting and entertaining. I highly recommend this book to any business owner or nascent filmmaker who wants to know where to begin in making videos.
When I was co-founder and CEO of Malibu Beach Recovery Center, an alcohol and drug treatment center in Malibu, CA, many of our alumni agreed to give up their anonymity and go on camera to explain to others in need of help the benefits of our cutting-edge treatment system. Not a few of the testimonials were filmed by Adrian and they kept us full year after year. I am thrilled he put this guide together for others to use. I recently went from a hobbyist to professional videographer and photographer. I was recommended this book and it contained a lot of great information for someone who was relatively new to videography. I really enjoyed the granular, real-life examples of how to compose shots and what equipment/schematics worked in different scenarios. I must have not read the same book as some of the other reviewers. No, you cannot skip film school, as one reviewer claimed. This book is good for you if you are a beginner who wants to know about video creation in general. Then you will need a better book or course to explain to you how to do it. I wouldn't have minded if this book was $2.99, but at $8.99, I think you should look elsewhere.
