Well, I love the windows, what's not to love about a book that gives detailed information about the planning and creating of these incredible windows? And then, to finally see them!!!! Oh my goodness!!!! Just breath-taking!!!

For artists, particularly, and anyone else incidentally, it's always enlightening to be able to review the process. Beyond the stunning beauty of the windows themselves is the biblical/historical background behind the conception. Educational, if not engrossing. The writing seems a little stilted, but I'll chalk it up to a dry, if not wry translation. I came for the art.

Not only is this magnificent beautifully prepared, it tells the passionate story of Marc Chagall artistry in transforming art into vivid stories. The volume illustrated Chagall's approach to the final stain-glass panels, starting with rough charcoal sketches, through color renderings to the final windows. This publication will stay in my mind forever.

Quite stunning

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and condition of the book. It is like new and made for a wonderful gift for my mother who had recently seen the windows in person. This edition of the book showcases the beauty and intricacy of Chagall's windows so well. We are thrilled!

The title of the review pretty much tells the whole story. The quality of image reproduction is quite good. Of the most interest is the sequence of early drawings, prototypes, and preliminary paintings and collages resulting in the final windows. A fine companion to the experience of seeing (and photographing) the windows in Jerusalem.
